3 Great Places to Eat in Capitol Hill Denver

August 20th, 2019

Ah, Denver. The city is so fun and diverse with many different neighborhoods, each with their own spunk. Capitol Hill is a well-known neighborhood for its charm, tree-lined streets, and gritty history. Not only that, but they have a great selection of restaurants and bars at affordable prices! 1. LowDown Brewery This is one of my favorite places in the area! The vibe is very chill and low-key, and the food is to die for. They have amazing appetizers (their homemade beer cheese with bread and apple to dip is my personal fav) and a great selection of sandwiches and pizza. The service is friendly,... Read More

Neighborhood Spotlight: South Broadway

January 25th, 2019

My last brewventure of 2018 took me down to South Broadway with two of my beer-loving favorites! Having spent little time in this eclectic and hip neighborhood, I was excited to dive right in and check out as many breweries and as much of the beer we could. Stop #1: Alternation Brewing Company (www.alternationbrewing.com). After trying their famed For the Animals—Oreo (milk stout) at the Great American Beer Festival, I knew this was a brewery I had to make my way to. The taproom is strung with lights and has plenty of cozy natural wood. The bartender offered up friendly conversation as we browsed... Read More

Hogshead Brewery

So after grabbing brunch nearby Sloan’s Lake – a friend and I made our way to Hogshead Brewery for a couple brews and some girl talk. Wow! The space is small, but awesome! There’s a longer community table and a couple low tops made with rustic wood. There are even a couple Laws Whiskey House barrels turned high top! I’m not sure, but something might be aging in them too. It’s so cozy and inviting. They really made the most of the space! They have a huge patio space both... Read More
