Denver is the capital of Colorado and an Old Western city with Larimer Square being the city’s oldest historic block of buildings. Denver is famed as a jumping-off point for ski resorts in the nearby Rocky Mountains and nicknamed the Mile High City because its elevation is exactly one mile, 5280 feet above sea level. Denver gets more clear days than Miami and more hours of sunshine than San Diego and Tampa. It’s a culturally rich city with plenty of museums, shopping, art galleries, live theater performances, top-notch music concerts, comedy clubs, and city parks. There is a large walkable downtown district and a mile-long pedestrian only promenade, the 16th Street Mall with free shuttle service. The National Western Stock Show takes place annually here, and the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater is within a short driving distance. The city is sprinkled with underground speakeasies, and a craft brewery is on nearly every street corner. Unparalleled hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, biking, skiing, and hot springs are close by. Events and festivals take place throughout the year and we are home to the three time Super Bowl champion team the Denver Broncos! No wonder it’s the playground of the west!
