Abend Gallery has announced the latest iteration of one of its most popular recurring exhibitions, the 5×5 Project. It started four years ago with a simple idea: a mini show, with small scale paintings done on unframed 5×5 inch panels. The Kirkland Museum began as a way to honor the late Vance Kirkland. As an artist and philanthropist, Kirkland was influential to many in the art community. After his passing, family friend Hugh Grant became executor of his estate and founded the museum in his memory. The original location opened on Pearl Street in 2003 sharing a building with Vance Kirkland’s studio and art school. Edge Gallery is a small yet fascinating gallery in the 40 West Arts District just west of downtown Denver in Lakewood. Edge displays work by artists working in various mediums.
