Grace Gallery Will Take Your Breath Away

September 18th, 2017

Grace Gallery is three floors of unique and interesting art! Located in the Santa Fe art district near downtown Denver, Grace Gallery has three floors of amazing art ranging from wood carvings and abstracts to nudes and portraits. There is art and jewelry made from bicycle parts, stunning photography that draws you in and won’t let you go until you’ve surely gotten your fill and even then you find it hard to walk away. The main floor is definitely my favorite but that’s not to say the upper and lower floors are lacking, in fact it’s astounding the amount of amazing art that... Read More

You Are Not Prepared

September 17th, 2017

If you’re anything close to a movie nerd, you’ve probably seen references to CinemaScore. Let’s talk about what that is before we get to the subject of today’s review. CinemaScore is a market research firm out of Las Vegas. They perform audience surveys to rate their experiences in 25 major cities around the United States. Essentially, you’re given a card and asked to rate the film on a scale from A to F, whether or not you would buy the film on DVD, and why you chose to see that particular film. Bear in mind that it’s not necessarily an indicator of quality.... Read More

Coyotes in the Wild

September 15th, 2017

We have talked about mountain lions and black bears, but what do you do when you see a coyote on the trail. Last February when hiking on North Table Mesa with my faithful little companion, Auggie, and we came in proximity with a coyote. Today’s post will go over my experience as well as remind you what to do when you see a coyote. Auggie and I were doing a fantastic hike in the snow. It was a gorgeous day. When we were coming down the mountain, we saw an animal in the distance. From a distance, it looked like a dog. Auggie got very excited because he loves to meet other dogs on the trail. I started... Read More

Gratitude at OMF: The True Start of Fall in Denver

September 15th, 2017

Autumn is very, very slowly beginning to creep into the far corners of our still very hot September days here in Denver and I don’t think I have been more ready for it than I am this year. Although I think I say that every year. With not only the beautiful cooler weather, the transformation of the colors of the aspens, and of course, Halloween, there is something magical about Fall time; in the land of craft beer, Denver has a few extra magical moments that make this time of year simply the best. Last week I compiled a short list of must-go events in September, leading up to our very own... Read More

420 Games Team Colorado Launch Party is Huge Hit

September 15th, 2017

Photo Credit: Zach Zerr Photography   It was a day for the history books as the 420 Games Team Colorado held it’s launch party at Break The Stigma Fitness on Saturday, September 9th. The doors opened at 3:20pm with the official kick off taking place officially at 4:20pm. The crowd slowly trickled in for the first 45 minutes, with a surge of attendees showing up in waves just in time for the big spark up at 4:20pm. The energy at the event built momentum and then just exploded at 4:20! Before getting the obstacle course, team tug of war, and fitness challenges started, attendees had the... Read More

Five Fabulous Fall Foods You Can Get Now

September 13th, 2017

Whether from your garden, the farmer’s market or the grocery store shelf, fall produce is fresh, seasonal and happening now!  Eating healthy may seem harder come fall, when your favorite summer produce dwindles and the choices seem fewer and, perhaps, unfamiliar. Take advantage of the opportunity and think outside the box in your fall food preparation. Most fall produce can be prepared in a number of tasty ways and all of the produce mentioned here is grown locally. Brussels sprouts are exceptionally rich in protein, dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Sprouts are a good source... Read More

The Return of Brock Osweiler

September 12th, 2017

It seemed like a fairy tale. Draft the young 6’7, 240 lbs. quarterback with immense potential and a rocket arm, and let him sit on the bench and learn the position from a living legend until his moment arrives. When John Elway chose Brock Osweiler in the second round of the 2012 draft to be Peyton Manning’s heir apparent, chapter one had begun. Osweiler practically showed up on his white horse three years later as he gallantly stepped in for an injured and aging Manning, won some crucial starts, and prepared for his first playoff game. That is where the fairy tale turned into a Greek tragedy,... Read More
