Joyride Brewing and a Little Sip of History

December 8th, 2017

On a busy corner of Sheridan Blvd with views of Sloan’s Lake lives a neat little brewery rooted in some interesting history. This side of Sheridan is technically the city of Edgewater; a bright-lighted arch welcomes you to this quaint sandwiched suburb, a literal stone’s throw from Denver proper across the street. In recent months, developers have sought to build up the Sloan’s Lake area into another hot Denver neighborhood, with the ever-popular Highlands and Lo-Hi areas bordering all the other sides of the lake. The businesses of Edgewater only serve to benefit from this potential... Read More

Brewery Rickoli: Where Everybody Knows Your Name

December 1st, 2017

In the quiet suburb of Wheatridge off 44th and Wadsworth, lives a brewery that embodies the bordering community: laid back, friendly, unpretentious, and true to itself. Wheatridge is unlike the other surrounding suburbs of Denver; there are no large plots of track developments, in fact, no construction at all (talk about a breath of fresh air!). And even better to note, the suburbs and small towns that surround Denver have been spontaneously poppin’ out plenty of good beer to satiate your needs when you venture out of the city. This year, we adventured at the very popular Anderson Farms in Erie for our pumpkin picking and... Read More

Hiking in Golden- Mt. Galbraith

August 18th, 2017

Golden has a lot of offer when it comes to hiking and biking. I have already talked about the joys of hiking and biking North Table Mesa and the Apex. Today, I want to talk about yet another Golden gem, Mt Galbraith. It is directly across highway 93 from North Table Mesa. The parking lot is up Golden Gate Canyon, not far from Highway 93. The trail leads you up the mountain to a beautiful loop. The loop itself is about 1.5 miles long and getting to the loop is about another 2 miles. Total you are looking at about a 5- 6 mile hike! Now, is a good time to emphasize hike. This trail does not allow... Read More
