The Cannabegrateful Yoga Challenge

November 25th, 2017

I hope everyone had a terrific Thanksgiving. With it being a time when we all reflect on what we’re thankful for, it feels fitting to give some thanks of my own, and to share about my recent experience in The Cannabegrateful Yoga Challange. This Instagram challenge, hosted by Greenlove Denver and Canna_Sam, started on November 13th and lasted for 7 days. Each day there was a specific yoga pose, but the challenge was more than just taking a photo of your practice. The challenge also consisted of digging deeper to share something we were grateful for each day. The yoga pose line up: Day 1- seated... Read More

Drinking Consciously This Holiday Season

November 24th, 2017

I hope everyone has survived their Thanksgiving or Harvest holiday meals yesterday, or are pushing through if yours lasts through the weekend! For me, Thanksgiving marks the first day of the holiday season—a period of time at the end of the year for self-reflection, closure of the previous year, spending time with family, and giving a little extra back to the community at large. Matt grew up in Corpus Christie, Texas with two brothers considerably older than himself, which played a crucial role in Matt’s initial plunge into the world of art. Because of the age gap, Matt and his brothers didn’t always have similar interests when he was younger.  So, when his brothers were out on the football field with their friends, Matt would head to the library or arcade to get lost in the world of Todd Mcfarlane’s horror-fantasy... Read More

A Spit Test May Diagnose Your Concussion

November 22nd, 2017

In 2013, the most recent year for which we have data, there were about 2.8 million traumatic brain injury-related emergency room visits, hospitalizations and deaths in the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Nearly two-thirds of concussions take place in children and teens and although most patients’ symptoms disappear within two weeks, one-third of children and teens may experience prolonged symptoms of concussion. Up to 25% of kids have long-term symptoms that can last up to four months. In a recent study, Penn State College of Medicine scientists found five... Read More

Quarterback Carousel

November 21st, 2017

As Brock Osweiler failed to impress, Paxton Lynch failed to improve, and Trevor Siemian failed to make the game day roster, the Denver Broncos set their sights on next year to figure out their quarterback issues. Whether John Elway believes Denver is in a rebuilding stage or a few players away, finding a franchise quarterback for next year won’t be easy. Here is a list of the top ten options for next season, and the odds of making it happen. 1) Paxton Lynch (Odds of starting 2:1) – Over the last ten years every first-round quarterback selected has been allotted at least half a season before... Read More
