I would like to start off my first assignment with a kind suggestion, be polite to your budtender. You never know, it might make that bag a little heavier. We are nice people, we have similar interests as you, we are stoked to live in Colorado, and we have a cool job so finding us in a good mood is common. We work in an industry where our customers bring in tons of positive energy and are happy to spend their money, where else do you find that? We enjoy talking to new people about the subtle differences in cannabis, the possibilities of cannabidiol (CBD), and we would love for you to ask every question you can think of, but do your best to be polite. Your happiness is a budtenders’ utmost concern, it the entirety of our job, we want you to leave confident that you have made the right decisions. We are your first impression, we can be valuable for you. Added to the fact that you are going to have to rely on your budtenders’ recommendation to find that happiness you seek in our little shops. You don’t want to find yourself up doing dishes at midnight when you are trying to sleep, nor do you want to be falling asleep when you were expecting a stimulating/cerebral experience. So, kindness towards your budtender will insure a good time.

If you are interested in finding that sticky green bud that you remember so fondly from back in the day we have it for you, it’s called Chem Dawg, so be polite to your budtender. Would you like to know what the best strains to smoke for snowboarding and skiing are? DJ Short’s FLO and Cosmic Brain (if you happen upon that one place that still sells it that is). How about the best strains to smoke to put you in a frisky mood? We call those Bubba Kush and Cherry Slyder. Those strains are right here, at our fingertips, and we would love to tell you all about them. So please, be polite to your budtender. Oh, and yes, we also have those gummies you have heard about.

However, having said that, it does go both ways in a weed shop. You need to make sure your new confidant has the qualifications needed for the job.

If your budtender is not being polite, if your budtender is being short with you, if your budtender does not know the genetics of their own strains, if your budtender uses words like “fire” or “gangsta” to characterize the buds than you should split. Or you can always email me and ask, I love talking about weed!

Cannabis products are designed for adults 21 and older.  Please consume responsibly.

Chris grew up in Dover, Delaware with his sights set on the wild west. Inspired by 80’s and 90’s- era ski movies Chris found his way to Gunnison, Colorado in 1999 to attend Western State College, now Western State University, and to ski Crested Butte. In this little mountain town in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo mountains Chris also found a lovely little plant called cannabis. Chris still lives in Colorado, having moved to Fort Collins after graduating to follow his love of skiing, mountain biking, and all things outdoors. Currently working as a budtender with 7 years experience in the cannabis industry Chris has a passion for cannabis, a desire to write, and a love for Colorado.
