Next Weekend at Globe Hall

July 20th, 2019

Next weekend is going to be huge for the Denver music scene in general. UMS is going to be insane, but that’s not all that’s going down. Maybe huge festivals aren’t really your jam. Maybe winding your way through ten thousand other concertgoers cramps your style. Totally understandable. If you’re looking to see some live music but avoid the South Broadway mayhem next weekend, Globe Hall has you covered. On Saturday, July 26th, Channel 93.3 presents The Mowgli’s, Petal, and Arms Akimbo on their Summer Vacation Tour. The Mowgli’s began in 2010 in L.A. They hit... Read More

Faces of Denver: Chris Geary of SYCDVK

January 11th, 2019

Denver’s eclectic group of artists playing electronic fusion and jazz music is what helps the city stand out in its music scene. One of these artists, Chris Geary, currently plays drums in the Denver-based band SYCDVK. The group’s sound pieces together multiple genre elements, forming an experimental psych-rock mixture that can be groovy and brass-oriented at some times and harder rock at others. If that doesn’t ring a bell, you’ve most likely been to Sancho’s Broken Arrow, or Owsleys. Maybe you remember Quixote’s(RIP). If none of this sounds familiar, you may have just gotten here, which is fine, and now you know about some cool spots to check out. Bianchi is a die-hard deadhead and his establishments tend to reflect the sentiment. They’re all incredibly welcoming places to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy good music. His latest project, Be On Key Psychedelic... Read More

Faces of Denver – Random Temple!

June 26th, 2017

Meet Random, (yes, that is his actual name) a multi-skilled Denver musician with a nice set of golden locks that makes others jealous. Random Temple, which has to be one of the most intriguing names ever, has lived in Denver for 5 years. He was born in Eugene, Oregon under, according to him, parents that were hippie-esque and avid followers of the Grateful Dead. He spent a chunk of his childhood going to Grateful Dead concerts with his parents; probably being credited as the beginning of his exposure to the music world. Even though he was born in Eugene, he spent a good portion of his life growing... Read More
