The William Havu Gallery is one of Denver’s oldest and most well-known contemporary galleries. Over the past four decades they’ve provided a space for creativity to thrive, curating exhibitions with a focus on realism and abstraction. Representing a long list of established and emerging artists, the Havu Gallery is a conduit for regional talent. A lot of galleries have a tendency to lean towards paintings in their exhibits. Don’t get me wrong, I love paintings(really) and wish I could adopt them all, but I feel like they could share some of that time in the spotlight with other kinds of art. Sculptures in particular tend to be underrepresented.
