Tomorrow is Super Bowl LIII. The Los Angeles Rams will be up against the New England Patriots. One team will go home with the trophy, the rings, and bragging rights as Super Bowl Champions for the year. There’s sure to be some incredible plays, a few amazing runs and receptions, and a whole lot of high contact hits. You might even be cheering for hard hitting tackles to stop your rival team short of a first down, or cause a fumble and a turnover so your team can recover the ball, but what happens to the players after the game is over and they go home? Several NFL players suffer from a variety... Read More

The Farm Bill

On Thursday, December 21, 2018, our president officially signed and passed the 2018 Farm Bill. This bill ends the prohibition of hemp in the United States, making it a historical day in our history. The passage of this bill will begin the regrowth of hemp as an agricultural crop in America. As important as this is, there is still much work to be done beginning at the state level to protect our rights and freedoms when it comes to growing, producing, and distributing hemp products that contain CBD. Last week we covered what the Farm Bill means for sports, and today we’re going to look at some... Read More

This will remove hemp from the Controlled Substances Act and make hemp just another commodity to be overseen by the US Department of Agriculture. This is a huge deal for hemp farmers interested in growing hemp at scale to be used for consumer goods like food, textiles, paper, plastics, and building materials, but what does the... Read More

5 Cannabis Brands Sponsoring Athletes

More and more cannabis companies are beginning to see the value of sponsoring athletes. By promoting cannabis as part of a healthy and active lifestyle, it does more than give your brand association with health and fitness. It also helps to disprove the age-old stereotype that people who consume cannabis are lazy, which helps to change the perception of cannabis, and will lead to further legalization. Below I’ve collected five cannabis brands sponsoring athletes that aren’t in any particular order. Each one is a company I feel is supporting athletes and assisting in the overall positive cultural... Read More

My wife Heather and I just returned to our home in Colorado from Miami, Florida this week. We were speaking at the U.S. Cannabis Conference and Expo about epilepsy, and the benefits of cannabis for fitness. We’ve had the opportunity to speak several times in Colorado this year, but this was our first time educating on the East Coast! In April of this year we spoke about the benefits of hemp for athletes at the Terpenes and Testing Magazine World Conference, in San Jose, CA. Now that we’ve had the chance to speak in Florida, we’ve officially covered the U.S. coast to coast in our efforts to... Read More
