I Am The Bad Script, Goo Goo G’Joob

June 30th, 2019

What do The Beatles mean? It’s a difficult question, one that I’m ill-equipped to answer. What we know for sure is that they cast a shadow that touches virtually every aspect of human life. Think of the music they made as the first domino in a vast and sprawling design. From pop to indie to rock to hip hop to punk and beyond, the DNA of the Fab Four winds through virtually all of it. Their reach stretches far beyond music. Their 1964 concert film/documentary/comedy A Hard Day’s Night is both massively influential and enormously entertaining in terms of film. They were pioneers in the development... Read More

There are so many reasons why increasing numbers of people and companies are choosing organic cannabis options, and here are a few. 1. Cannabis is Medicine Many people consume cannabis for medicinal reasons. Individuals may also be battling serious illnesses and have compromised immune systems. This is why so many people are choosing organic cannabis to get the highest quality... Read More

Bear Runs Through Marathon in Leadville

June 28th, 2019

Runners at Leadville Trail Marathon in Colorado were met with a stunning surprise as a bear crossed their paths about midway through the race. The bear ran straight through the middle of the path that the runners were on, causing everyone to stop what they were doing to watch it meander through. Stephen Peterson of Colorado Springs told Runners World, “We let the bear do what it was going to do, and it found a gap in the runners to cross and then took off into the brush. Everyone just looked at each other like, ‘Did that really just happen?’ It was so casual. That was what was funny... Read More

Are Optimists Healthier Than Pessimists?

June 27th, 2019

Are you a glass half-full person? In other words, are you hopeful and confident about the future?  If so, you might be healthier than your friends who believe that the worst will happen. Many studies have reported that optimism influences health. Among the findings:   Highly pessimistic men were three times more likely to develop hypertension. People with positive emotions had lower blood pressures. The most pessimistic men were more than twice as likely to develop heart disease compared with the most optimistic.   It is hard to know if optimism is the result of good health, or if... Read More

They Stuck the Landing

June 23rd, 2019

It fascinates me how people respond to art in general, and movies in particular. If I had a beer with you right now, the odds are good we’d eventually talk movies. I’d pick your brain about them and try to get a handle on what you like, what you dislike, and why. One person views Forrest Gump as a sweet-natured fable, while a second person thinks of it as anti-liberal propaganda. That’s fine, as most films occupy some kind of a middle ground. What about the classics? What about the few films that stand among the elite? And what about the people who hate those classics? That’s why I adore... Read More

2019 Trail Marathon Challenge

June 22nd, 2019

I’m very excited to announce my participation in the 2019 Trail Marathon Challenge produced by Green House Healthy! As an athlete who consumes cannabis and an advocate for its benefits as a natural medicine, I strive to challenge myself beyond my limits while promoting how cannabis helps me achieve my goals. Last year I challenged myself by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM, completed my very first Spartan obstacle race, and participated in my first Ragnar Trail Relay. It was a year of firsts for me and I wanted to continue that this year by taking on the 2019 Trail Marathon... Read More
